Guided tour of the Falls (Zambian Side)

The Victoria Falls are the largest waterfall in the world, and are shared between two countries Zimbabwe and Zambia and the views are quite different from both sides. On the Zambian side of the falls, the tour is shorter as only 25% of the Falls are viewable from Zambia, but it is still very much worth the visit as the perspectives and the overall experience are quite different to Zimbabwe. Clients will learn how this magnificent world wonder was formed. You will also learn about the people who lived here over a century ago, and those that came to discover its existence and shared it with the world.

Tour of Livingstone Town

Another one of our popular Livingstone tours is a tour of the town itself. The town of Livingstone was moved from its original site at the Old Drift in 1905, due to malarial outbreaks, and moved to its healthier location on Constitution hill. The town was carefully planned with wide streets lined with trees; a lot of the original architecture is still in place today. The tour can be catered to clients specific requests and comprises a visit to Maramba Market, which is a bustling colourful market where you will find everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, to chitenge (local fabric). Or even more exciting the Salaula market, and see large displays of second hand clothes, a great favorite of the locals.

Lunch at  Lookout Café

Perched on the rim of the Batoka Gorge, the Wild Horizons Lookout Café is a fusion of spectacular views and exquisite food. The African Contemporary styled restaurant is designed to emphasize its unique panoramic view of the Victoria Falls Bridge and Batoka Gorges, which form part of the spectacular backdrop.

Guided tour of the Falls (Zimbabwe)

A view of the Victoria Falls is something you will never forget and the best way to see them is on a guided tour. Discover how the Falls were formed and what local customs and traditions surround them. These tours are extremely informative and end with a visit to the local art and crafts centre.

The Boma Restaurant

The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show is a “must do” Victoria Falls dining and entertainment experience, specializing in traditional African food, drumming and dancing. The food is cooked and served in the style and quantity of a lavish feast, including irresistible desserts. On arrival, you are dressed in a chitenge (traditional sarong) and welcomed into a vibrant atmosphere in which the tantalizing aromas of local dishes and game meat on the braai (barbecue) fill the restaurant, which is partially open to the star-filled African sky.

Your meal begins with a mouth-watering platter of starters whilst the buffet includes soup from the campfire, a range of salads, game meat cooked on a braai (barbecue), followed by desserts.  Vegetarian options are also available, as well as local dishes such as peanut butter spinach. You can also look forward to outstanding performances by traditional singers and dancers, and enjoy an energizing interactive drumming show. A face painter, storyteller, hair braider and fortune teller also form part of this festive evening.

Helicopter Flight 15min

The 15 minute flights depart regularly throughout the day and offer spectacular photographic opportunities. Guests are collected from their hotels 30 minutes prior to their flight departure time and are given a safety talk on arrival at the Helipad, near the Elephant Hills Inter-Continental Hotel. After take-off on the 15-minute Flight of Angels, the helicopter turns out towards the Victoria Falls. The pilot will fly circuits over The Falls in both directions giving guests the best viewing and photographic opportunities. A trip up river and back over the Zambezi National Park completes your flight.

Dusty Road Township Experience

The Dusty Road Township Experience restaurant is situated in the bustling heart of Chinotimba, the largest and oldest township in Victoria Falls. The restaurant boasts food cooked in the Zimbabwean way, on open fires and in cast iron pots and ovens, providing guests with an authentic, wholesome and tasty food experience. The style of the restaurant is cheerful, earthy, soulful and funky with a true purpose at its core. The welfare of women, female empowerment and the awareness of Zimbabwean culture are of huge importance to the restaurant.

Ra-Ikane Sunset Cruise

The Ra-Ikane fleet was built to ensure that each guest is able to experience the wild beauty of the Zambezi River with ease and style. Each boat has its own Ra-Ikane crew, made up of a captain, guide and waiter to ensure that you can sit back and enjoy the ride. As you meander along a stretch of river that boasts spectacular scenery and diverse wildlife, you’ll be closer to the action since the Ra-Ikane’s monohull boats allow you to be closer to the water line.

With the banks of the Zambezi National Park flanking each cruise, you’ll be sure to spot elephants, hippos and crocodiles from plush club chairs that sit around teak-topped tables, which accommodate up to four guests each. Don’t be shy; the crew encourages movement around the boat. With lots of space on the flat deck, make yourself comfortable in the space as you look out for exciting and exotic birds and wildlife. Your comfort is paramount; all transfers are included in the cruise and we can cater to dietary requirements.

Livingstone Room

Enjoy dinner and dancing in the elegant Edwardian Livingstone Room, with classic a la carte and tables d’hote menus.  Whilst the Livingstone Room reflects the century old hotel’s style of grandeur and opulence, the dress code has been relaxed for the convenience of the guest.  A fine selection of wine and liqueurs are available. Maximum seating capacity of 120 pax
